SCISSR is the simple yet powerful and easy to use queer dating and cultural network app that allows to connect with other LGBT+ women in a neighborhood for a date, friendship, or to just talk about fashion, food, culture, music, etc.
Scissr is tailor-made for all – dyke, queer, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and bi-curious.
The Application needed drastic improvements for stable operations of the application; UI/UX modern & native for iOS and Android platforms. New features for increasing the audience.
Our client needed to add the analytics for a better understanding of what to improve and useful tools for content management.
After taking over the Scissr project, Envion Software brought in a Business Analyst, who researched the market of existing dating apps and revised development strategy. We made a list of changes, design improvements, which we further implemented and beyond that refactored the entire App.

This was a methodical transition from the existing poorly designed code to a new code base while maintaining product continuity and adding features. In simpler terms, we took (as is really the case in almost all rescues) a ‘two-prong’ approach of stabilizing and maintaining the existing code base while also transitioning to the new architecture and code.
The difference in this project was that we were able to implement this process “in-place”, that is we did not need to abandon the existing code but were able to transit the app to the new code incrementally while also adding new functionality.
